If it were me, I would go with the Furan 2.  The Triple Sulpha and the NeoPlex and KanaPlex would also be candidates.  Overall, I have had the best success using Furan 2 on seahorses with bacterial issues.

The way I use Furan 2 is as follows:
First if the seahorse is eating, I gut load adult artemia for 4 hours with the Furan 2.  This can be done by placing a 1/2 packet in a couple of liters of water with aeration and then feeding out.

Secondly, with bath therapy.
We use 10 gallon bare bottom tanks as a hospital tank.  Covering three sides to make the seahorse comfortable and to block some of the UV light which deactivates many antibiotics.  Add a hitch post and an airline.
On Day 1, add 1 packet of Furan 2 to the water.
On Day 2 through 10, do a 50% water change to keep the water quality up.  After the water change, add 1/2 packet of Furan 2 to replace the medicine taken out.

It can take 3 days to see a change.  Initially it is decrease in the procession of the infection and then a slow improvement.  If after 5 days, the medication doesn't seem to be working then it is worth considering a change to a different medication or combination of medications.

If memory serves me correctly, the Seachem products are about 1/10th the dose recommended by my Fish Disease books such as those from Noga and Bassleer.

You should practice proper hygienity and protection for yourself.  Don't put you hands in the water if you have any cuts or open wounds.  If you are allergic to any of the medications you are using, you need to protect yourself against contact as allergic reactions can happen through skin absorption.  Good idea to wear disposable gloves.

Thanks Dan u for reminding us to be careful about our own antibiotic allergies!!! I myself have a deadly anaphylactic reaction to sulfa drugs!!! Which might have slipped my mind when using those drugs without your reminders!! 😇 and who doesn't have cuts on their hands...

In the US you can order it through Amazon among other places.  I don't know what the limitations are in the UK.

Sue, I am very happy to hear things are progressing in a good direction for the seahorse.  Its always good to get the things you need for a fair price too.
