I lost my seahorses

« posted: 1 year ago »
I don't know why, but I think it has to do with a fan. I had a fan blowing on my seahorse tank. My kids took it, cleaned it with something. And I put it back unknowingl it had been cleaned with chemicals.  They said it was blowing dust off it from the cleaning. I didn't notice cause I was hurrying and it was dark in the room. Anyway, my pair and 10 juveniles all dead and my mandarin.  :'( I found 1 survivor and have in qt.

So sorry to hear that.
Even loosing one is traumatic for me, but loosing all those would really have me upset.

O that is heartbreaking!  I am so sorry.  In this hobby even when we try to build redundancy into our tanks, the tragic unforeseen can happen and it really hurts when it does.

Devastating! My sympathies to you and your family! We use these chemicals (poisons) to clean our house, makes you wonder........

I spoke to Dan. He said to break it down, clean everything, and start over. So that's what I'll do. I already killed the pumps and everything.
