I hope this isn't too explicit, LOL!  Poor Adam is trying to share a dance with his woman and their insolent boy keeps interfereing.  Well, actually it's much worse than just interference.  I always heard that they are passionate ponies!  Anyway Papa tries to give his boy a talkin' to!  It's the interaction between all the seahorses that intrigues me the most and I thought you folks might find it fascinating too.  I have decided to sell the 2 young males as I don't like Adam being forced to compete for his lady.  Doing 30g a week water changes is getting old too.

I was really nervous when I read your subject!!!

Yes, I don't think they care much about who's related. Seahorse mate selection seems to involve males being more interested in big girls too, so that doesn't seem to help matters!

Sorry Tami about the subject line.  Yes I can see how that might conjure up worse than I meant.  I was trying to be clever in a classic literary sense, LOL.
I was sad to sell my last babies but I don't want Adam getting stressed.  Also I was stressed thinking about having 4 seahorses in a 30g tank.  It is connected to the 36g tank which has large dense rock in it and the system now has a skimmer rated for 180 gallons.  On top of all that I was doing 30 gallons a week water changes and diligently keeping up husbandry.  I still will feel better having just the 2 seahorses in their tank.

That is a Nassarius snail crawling up the front glass.  Thank you for the kind words regarding the tank.  I like everything about the setup except getting wet to the armpits when cleaning it, ha ha!

Thanks Laura, yes Adam is doing well.  There is still a faint hint of the spots and I worry about that.  Since they are on his pouch I worry there might be erosion on the inside of his pouch.  His skin looks smooth and normal on the outside except the faint discoloration.  My plan is to do a pouch flush with antibiotics as soon as I know for sure he is not pregnant or wait until he delivers if he still has the faint spots then.  He is robust and healthy acting in every other way.  Thanks for inquiring about him.
