H. comes egg transfer while hitched!

Really cool video of H. comes doing an egg transfer while hitched! Most seahorses rise into the water column to make the transfer. It's unclear if it's novel behavior or just an adaption to captivity:

(egg transfer around the 5:15 mark. )

I don't know how those poor seahorses could enjoy a romantic moment together with that pesky tailspot blenny and banded pipe hanging around.  And then all the big reflections of the hippo tang, long nose butterfly and who knows what else, talk about a lack of privacy!  It didn't seem to bother them, LOL.

I hear you! I had similar thoughts. But you aren't going to win every battle. :(  Some people are going to keep fish that are bad with seahorses.

I had my local fish store special order alligator pipefish for me (Syngnathoides biaculeatus) and he put them in a tank with a kole eye tang for whatever reasons. I walk up to the tank and the tang is actively picking at the pipefish. I mean really? Exactly the thing that you don't want to have with any syngnathid. Even if it's not a seahorse, it's still a problem. (And this is one of the better stores in the area!)

What is the YouTube address? The video has been disabled. You just can't see good porn nowadays.
