Interesting piece, thank you. I'm sure the book you recomend, "Marine Aquarium Handbook" is one of many I bought years ago, I'm talking back in the 1970's. No doubt these days updated. In those days a fantastic source of marine fishkeeping information as I'm sure it still is today.

I just realized I made a mistake in the original thread, the book I suggest is the Marine Reef Aquarium Handbook. The Marine Aquarium Handbook you're talking about is by Martin Moe. Both are really good books, actually. Both have updated editions as well, thought the Marine Reef Aquarium Handbook first edition is much newer.

It's corrected now in the first message. Shame on me. :-[

Wow! Awesome advice! You answered all the basic questions I had about Seahorses. Right now I only have experience in freshwater fish such as Betas. I know, I am the definition of a newbie when it comes to keeping fish! But, I am making an effort into learning as much as possible about them, before I purchase them. The links your provided & the knowledge you shared is greatly appreciated. I can not wait until I own my own! I will be the proudest seahorse owner,ha!  :P No, but seriously you have helped a lot of people out with this. Thanks.

Trained already. That's just awesome! Erectus are real piggies though, so it's not totally surprising.
